I'm putting together a presentation case of military awards and citations etc. for my grandfather as a surprise.  I have most of the medals and ribbons and his stripes.  I'm looking for his unit patch, if he has one and I think he should have a theater patch too.  I've tried looking at his old pictures but cannot make out the patterns on his uniform but he definitly has a patch on his left shoulder that looks circular.  Anyway he was assigned to the Army 657th medical hospital ship platoon.  he was in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.  So what should I be looking for and where? I canot find much regarding specific uniform insignia so far.  He was a surgical tech BTW.
