Ok I was just watching this show on CBS and the perp who stole the backpack nuke is of course a subscriber to gun magazines, reads SOF and some porn mag in which the threat was featured.

They haven't mentioned ARFCOM - yet......

Kill your TV.  Seriously.

With VERY few exceptions it is all propaganda now.

Take our TV to your local shooting pit and fill it full of lead.

Then never buy a new one.

The less TV you watch the better off you will be.  More time is opened up for physical training, reading, family stuff, hiking, shooting and planning for TSHTF.

You'd be surprised how much time that tube sucks away from your life.

Oh I was watching NYPD Blue one time and the cops asked the father of a female murder victim if she had owned a gun. His reply was ...

... Are you ready for this one??

"She is a good person, she wouldnt own a gun"

[pissed] [soapbox]

And you can turn that into:
"She is a good person, she wouldn't own a SUV"

Oh my god!!!!! He subsribed to GUN magazines!!!

That unholy bastard!I guess I'll have to start requesting that my American Rifleman be sent in a plain ,unmarked wrapper,so as not to disturb the neighbors. LOL

My mother got all tripped out once cause I had a SOF[shock] layin around during a visit. She called me up later and said she was worried about what I was "geting into".I think her idea was 'malitia-white supremicist"content or some such nonsense.Anyhow, after she was finished speculating I asked if she had ever actually looked inside or READ one?Of course she hadn't.

So I explained to her that it was a history/world conflict news mag-thats how I see it-and she calmed down.

Whats with people making judgments about people based on what they read?Your telling me all men have not read that porno mag Playboy once or twice? Are they all pervs and devients?

Did that ten years ago.  Got rabbit ears on one nineteen inch set for weather alerts.  Best thing our family ever did.

If I get rid of the TV, how can I watch HEAT and BLACHAWK DOWN over and over again??

However true that the TV does make your brain into mush. I swear when I walked away from the TV and started reading again, I swear I felt my brain stretching.

Actually television is chemically addictive.  The refresh rate stimulates seratonin production.  Similar though different from how some epileptics onset seizures.  It's a conditioned response...the more TV you watch the more you need it to get the feel-good seratonin release.  The less you watch the more "alert" your neural functions are.

This must happen with monitors, too, and would explain how I spend so much time here...

He's got a point, folks...

It's a shame, however, that I don't follow his advice....

My HS English teacher used to call the TV the "Idiot Box".
