In a highly unnatural phenomenon, water has begun dripping from the midst of a stone in Jerusalem's Western Wall. The water leak, which was first noticed Saturday by worshippers at the Wall, continued yesterday for the fourth straight day, Shmuel Rabinovitch, the rabbi of the Western Wall, said yesterday. On Sunday, Antiquities Authority director-general Shuka Dorfman and Jon Seligman, its Jerusalem regional archeologist, were rushed to the scene to examine the dripping, which has so far dampened a 10 by 40 centimeter section of the Wall. The drops of water are coming from a mid-level stone on the right edge of the men's side, near the division with the women's side. Antiquities Authority spokeswoman Osnat Gouez said yesterday that the authority officials who visited the site on Sunday decided to wait a couple days to see if the problem would continue before contacting officials from the Wakf, which is in charge of maintenance at the Temple Mount, just above the Wall. However, informed sources say that as the drip has persisted for at least 96 hours, Wakf officials have since been alerted to the drip, which may be coming from a hose or pipe they have installed. Fearing renewed Palestinian violence, police have barred non-Muslims, including archeologists, from entering the Temple Mount since then-opposition leader Ariel Sharon visited the site in September 2000, leaving Judaism's holiest site without any archeological supervision. The 22-months since has been the longest the site has been closed to non-Muslims since the unification of Jerusalem in 1967. The drip has also proved to be of immense interest to Jewish mystics, who see it as a sign of upcoming redemption. Rabinovitch said that his priority is to stop the dripping, which he termed "highly unusual." Referring to a symbolic name given to the Wall the Wailing Wall by European observers because Jews for centuries came there to bewail the loss of the temples, Rabinovitch said: "Maybe the Wall is indeed crying because of the current situation in the country." |

In a new example of doublespeak that would make George Orwell blush, Islam's top cleric in Jerusalem issued a religious edict saying the Western Wall of Solomon's Temple is a Muslim site with no Jewish history. According to this latest version of the revisionist history of Jerusalem, the Western Wall was where the Prophet Mohammed tied his winged steed before ascending into heaven.
The newest version requires rewriting both Islamic and secular history. It also ignores the historical difficulty presented by the written record of 1,400 years of Jewish life in Jerusalem before the Prophet Mohammed was even born. Recently, Ikrema Sabri, grand mufti of Jerusalem, raised the ante when he issued a religious ruling that forbade Jewish worshippers from even touching the Western Wall. According to the latest Palestinian reasoning, "The Western Wall is part of the Al Burak Wall which is part of the Al Aqsa mosque so the Jews have no right to the place. ... The whole problem is that the place does not relate to them so whatever they do with it -- putting in papers, practicing their prayers, all these things are not the things we want," according to Arutz-Sheva. Al-Burak was the name of Mohammed's horse. This latest attempt to rewrite history would be laughable if it weren't being taken seriously by about half the global press corps. The Arabs have, in the last 50 years, rewritten history to make Israel an "aggressor" nation who "seized the traditional land of the peaceful Palestinian people." Despite the wars of aggression launched by the combined strength of the surrounding Arab nations in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973, the myth of Israel as the aggressor and the Arabs as the victims of that aggression persists. And it remains a myth without any basis in historical fact. In her book, "From Time Immemorial," author Joan Peters points out that as far back as 1948 the Arab leadership recognized that "The people are in great need of a 'myth' to fill their conscience and their imagination." Peters points out, accurately, that without this kind of historical mythology, the Palestinian claim would crumble to dust under the weight of historical fact. The Western (or "Wailing") Wall of Solomon's Temple is a prime example of Palestinian mythology. continued... |

The Waqf also continues to claim the Temple Mount was never the site of a Jewish Temple. Period. By simply issuing the religious edict and then falling silent on the details, the debate is one-sided and is soon forgotten by everyone but a billion Muslims.
The Muslim claim to Al Aqsa is based on the account in the Koran of Mohammed's ascent into heaven. Islamic tradition says he ascended from the site where Abraham was ordered to sacrifice Isaac (or, Ishamel, in the Muslim version). According to Islamic tradition, Mohammed rode his steed into heaven. According to the current version, Mohammed ascended from the Al Aqsa mosque, which was the third holiest site in Islam. Except the mosque hadn't been built yet. During Mohammed's lifetime, a Christian church stood on the site. And the proclamation that Jerusalem was the third holiest site in Islam was issued by Faisal el Husseini, grand mufti of Jerusalem in 1917, not in the eighth century. Prior to that time, Jerusalem was just a dusty little backwater town of little importance to anyone except the Jews. The question of where Mohammed tied his horse was debated in the 11th century. Scholars at the time placed the Al-Burak Wall at the Double Gate outside the Temple Mount's southern wall. The location was reaffirmed in the 17th century. The debate was settled and the location set as the Double Gate. And so it remained for 400 more years. In the "Encyclopedia of Islam," there is no mention of the Western Wall in relation to Al-Burak. In the entry under Hara al Sharif, the wall is called the "Wailing Wall" without any reference to it's being sacred to Islam. Official guidebooks issued by the Waqf as recently as 1990 say nothing about the Western Wall being significant to Islam. A British commission of inquiry into the riots of 1929 issued an official finding of fact that the Muslims never used the wall as a prayer site and it was "never sacred to Islam." A year later in 1930, the Supreme Muslim Council in Jerusalem published a finding that the Western Wall's identification with the Second Temple was "beyond dispute," according to the Jan. 26, 2000, Jerusalem Post. Seventy years ago, the official Muslim position was as follows, "The site is one of the oldest in the world. Its identity with Solomon's Temple is beyond dispute. This, too, is the spot, according to universal belief, on which David build there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings." Four hundred and fifty years ago, Suleiman the Magnificent, ruling Sultan of the Muslim Ottoman Empire that controlled the Holy Land at that time, issued an edict recognizing the rights of Jews to the Western Wall. As it stands today, however, the Palestinian side has learned that the only requirement necessary to rewrite history is endless repetition of whatever version favors them. Then they rely on a strategy of anti-Semitism and political correctness to take care of the rest. So far, it seems to be working. |

So what is all the fuss about the wailing wall in Jerusalem? Well it just happens to be the most holy site of all for the Jews.
It is under the control of the Arabs but the Israel army oversees what goes on there. Just today there was a rukus there about who was there praying. One important thing you must remember concerns the prophecy Jesus gave concerning the buildings of the temple in Matthew 24. He said that not one stone would be left upon another. Well, the temple was not completely destroyed during the destruction that took place in 70 A.D. The wailing wall where Jews go daily to offer up prayers (The Daily Sacrifice), is the only thing left of the Temple. What happens at this wall will be the most defining moment in the world's history. Most bible preachers and scholars insist on teaching that the New World Order via the Antichrist will re-institute animal sacrifices at the beginning of the Great Tribulation and take it away during the middle of that seven year period. They insist that the taking away of the animal sacrifices is the abomination of desolation that Jesus referred to In Matthew 24. I don't believe that animal sacrifices will ever be re-instituted in Jerusalem, and even if they are, they signify nothing in regards to the timetable of events during the Tribulation. The sacrifice of praise and prayer is the daily sacrifice that will be taken away. And it will be taken away at the wailing wall in Jerusalem. In the book of Daniel we have a record of this daily (sacrifice), the word sacrifice is added by translators. "And out of one of them (the four kingdoms of which the fourth is the last and final kingdom with ten horns (kings),Dan.8:23,24) came forth a little horn (The Antichrist), which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land (Israel). And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily (sacrifice) was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. And a host (army) was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced and prospered. Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." Daniel 8:9-14 Let's look at four things for a moment: (1) The daily sacrifice is the taking away of the daily prayer at the wailing wall (2) The transgression is the Israeli government asking man (The New World Order of the U.N.) for help instead of asking God to help them in their crisis. (3) They shall be trodden under foot by the Gentiles (non-Jews) Occupied!! (4) This entire vision from the taking away of the daily until the sanctuary be cleansed (Armageddon) shall be 2300 days. Just short of 7 years. One question, however, remains. How is the daily taken away? Will it be by simple decree, which may be the case or some other method? I suppose it may not really matter how, but here is my guess. The wailing wall will be torn down!!!!! |
|
When the wall is torn down, the daily will be taken away, because there will be no more wall to pray at. The prophecy of Jesus would then finally be fulfilled also!
Make no mistake, the U.N will come to Jerusalem and take away the prayer at the wall regardless if they destroy it or restrict any prayer by the Jews at the wall. Remember, that according to the Old Testament, if a Gentile is at the temple, it is desecrated. The Gentile (non-Jewish) armies of the United Nations guarding the wailing wall at the Temple Mount is an abomination. Either they will tear the wall down and place a statue of the U.N., (The rider on a white horse without any arrows for his bows: which signifies their peacekeeping efforts) or simply place the statue at the wall if they do not tear it down. This will be the beginning of the last 7 Years known as the Tribulation Period. Remember that the Book of Revelation in the first seal depicts a rider on a white horse with a bow and no arrows, going forth conquering. Daniel says this. "And arms (armies) shall stand on his (The Antichrist's) part and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate." Dan.11:31 Do think it is any coincidence that just this week (last week in September,2000) that the newspapers say the U.N. says it's presence in Jerusalem keeping the peace in a divided Jerusalem is the only answer to the conflict between the Palenstines and the Jews!!! Jerusalem will be the capital of the New World Order, of the United Nations! |

The mufti's edict is quite funny, considering that in Jewish prophecy, the Messiah will be led through the Lions Gate in Jerusalem by a member of the priestly class. So the muslims bricked up the Lions Gate and placed a cemetary in front of it since a member of the priestly class is forbidden to walk through a grave yard. I guess they are just covering their bets.
