The propane bombs, did you shoot them? Or just light the flare and let it burn down?

The flare is there so we can see where to shoot at night. Hitting correctly will cause an explosion, if not the propane can will sometimes become a projectile and it is time to duck if it happens to come and say "hi" to you.[:D] |

The river gorge also provides protection because 1) the distance and the bank provides cover. 2) your shooting DOWN at them so the newly formed thrust hole pushes the bottle down (better than at a 20 degree angle on flat land). When placed in a field and your shooting (igniting) them horizontally, they might (and did) launch. |
