raf,

I was told by my NBC buddy, 5 years is the normal good shelf life. He told me not to accept anything more, and the fresher, the better.

RAF,

I believe those filters might be expired, and I read that ten years is about the Shelf Life of filters.

American School of Defense mentioned this subject and lists some expired filters and and masks you should not purchase.

the URL is  http://store.americanschoolofdefense.com/id5.htm

This guy sells them on ebay, mfg in late 2001, they're the M95 filter, best you can get right now.

The same ones ASOD sells for $35

As far as the italo ones, for $4 they're worth it for practice.
