Great picture!

My grandfather died earlier this year.  He was in the Navy during World War II.  Unfortunately, nobody in immediate family knows much about his service.  It was so bad, that at his funeral, the only information we could give the VFW person performing the ceremony was that he served on a Merchant Marine ship, but was indeed in the Navy.

Have some paperwork into the Navy now to try to get his service records.  Hoping it will shed some light so my sister and I can put together a nice paper on him for the family.

As you probably are, I am proud and thankful.
