What do you want to know? They're two different types of steel (well, actually two different classes of steel). Typically 416 stainless or 4140 chrome-moly is used for barrels. Chrome-moly can be blued, parkerized, teflon-coated, etc. Stainless can be left "in the white", teflon-coated, etc. It's generally not blued, although it can be done, but doing so will void the warranty from most barrel manufacturers. Some have reported that stainless barrels have a slightly longer service life.
