One of our Deputys got shot Friday.  He was shot in the face and in the chest.  From what I've heard I think the guy didn't have a vest on.  At any rate the bullit passed through his liver.  It was a traffic stop, the driver was a wanted felon.

Does anybody have any good ideas where to buy where these guys could get some sort of group purchase for bullet proof vests?  The quantity would be about 20 or so.

Got any working links for either? Couldn't get the Tamiami to work at all.

I'm looking around because I have a few friends on the force.  Does tamiami make good stuff?  I agree with you Paul, but unfortunately it's a rural police department.

Yeah, they distribute good stuff, but the only stuff cheap there is the Military stuff. WAY too damn heavy for a beat cop, due to the ceramic plates. Try looking at www.galls.com, as well. They may be able to get you a good deal on Group Purchases.
