My bride and I visited "The Gun Store" in Las Vegas on Saturday. Just wanted to pass along that they are a nice bunch of folks.
Got to do something I've always wanted as did my bride. Gotta love a woman who shoots an Uzi just to say she's shot a full auto!

That's me, with the Thompson....Now if only I can get a Class III...... what a blast to shoot!

Visit the Gun Store on Tropicana in Las Vegas...Great guys!

I'll second that they're a good bunch of guys... mostly.

The next time you come to town, try Discount Firearms out on boulder highway.  Great group runs the place, Mike, the owner is a damn fine shot with a handgun and they rent out an MP5SD.

There's another shop North of the strip: American Shooter's Supply(?) They rent a few SMGs and they have an indoor rifle range to boot. It's a cheaper cab ride from the casino resorts.

Unlike The Gun Store, they let us carry the SMG's and ammo from the counter to the line. That simple degree of freedom makes it just a tad cooler. Everytime I've been to The Gun Store, we're escorted to the firing line and the store employee loads the weapon.

The last time I was there, another customer let me fire his MP5K-PDW.

I'll pick shooting over gambling every time [:)]

Houston, Yep I turned 46 on Flag Day (14th).

I'll remember the suggestions for other ranges. I really enjoyed shooting up an Osama target with that Thompson. They asked me to limit my bursts to 5 or 6 rounds, but that was cool as the barrel did tend to climb.
My bride liked the Uzi but decided she didn't feel comfy with full auto and then let me shoot the last 25 rounds with it. Much easier to control than the Thompson, but the grip safety on this one was quite sensitive.

Now I want a Thompson semi, of course.
