Wife brought home this Jim Carey movie and I’m thinking, oh great, another dumb comedy with Jim Carey. Boy was I wrong. Although the movie is only average for the most part, the last 30 minutes kicks butt!
There’s a scene where Pete’s (Jim Carey) lawyer is trying to convince him to just do what the court wants him to do, and says:
“The Declaration of Independence? The Constitution? They’re all just pieces of paper with signatures on them. And you know what a piece of paper with a signature on it is, a contract. Something that can be renegotiated at any time”
Don’t want to ruin it for anyone that hasn’t seen it, but I think you’ll like the way Pete revises that quote!
