There were a lot of Heroes on 9-11, all of whom I admire and deeply respect.  Those Fireman and others that died that day went above and beyond the call of duty.  Even now when I think back to that fateful day I get choked up.  They should never be forgotten.

With that said I find the idea of putting there faces on a cereal box trivializes and demeans them.  Hence I do not support this petition.  Heroes deserve statues....not a temporary cardboard display.

OK, flame suit on, just in case...

I am in no way trying to detract from the sacrifice made by these proud men and women, either on 9/11, or any other day.

However, I think I've seen enough commercialism tied into this tragedy already.  At first I thought it was a good idea, but then I thought, what if I saw the box in the store, without first seeing this post.  The truth is, it would have disgusted me.

I don't want to see any more 9/11 memorials on something I'm supposed to buy.  I just don't feel that it's very appropriate.

Sorry if I've rubbed anyone the wrong way, but that's how I feel.
