The_Macallan is couragious to speak his politically incorrect mind. Fact is, the "Gay Rights" agenda is one of the main enemy offensives in the cultural war. There should be no gay priests allowed in the RCC. There should be no tolerence for molesters. |

It has been theorized that the celibate Priesthood offered a career path that was attractive to homosexuals in that the failure to marry was easily and honorably explained by the requirements of the career, not the sexual orientation of the individual, thus the label of homosexual was not heretofore applied to celibate Priests as it often was to other lifelong bachelors.

One general comment.
It would be unjust and unfair to the innocent in the Catholic Church to condemn the entire Church for what appears, as of the moment, the misdeeds of a few. I'd hate to see any posts that smacked of Catholic bashing. And no, I'm not a Catholic. |

KFI AM-640 which is a 50,000 watt clear channel station is spending several hours a day talking about the diddling of children, wondering how many times you can stick it in a six year old before you're asked to leave the church ... and using other such clear language to attack the church. They aren't pulling any punches that I've seen.
I don't watch ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN nor read CNN-NBC-ABC-CBS-MSNBC-USATODAY-NYTIMES-GMA so I have no idea what they're saying nor do I care. I watch the O'Riley Factor and listen to Rush and Drudge to get my side of the story. |

I believe it was on CNN, but I'm not certain, where I heard that 86% of the priests who were charged with sexually assaulting young boys described themselves as homosexual. If I can find the source, I will post it.

Not to mention that the Sodomy laws imposed by the Catholic Church are only around 900 years old. Look at the behavior of priests, bishops and other members of the church leading up to the Sodomy laws, and you'll see what debauchery led to them. Pope Boniface VIII had said of the crime of homosexuality "it is no more a sin than to rub your hands together." Something to think about. Maybe the Catholic Church's inability to deal with this issue means it must deal with it's history as well. Before anyone makes the claim, I am not Catholic bashing, but one must admit that the church has a sordid history through the ages. Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas... |

They said that 86% of those who sexually abused young boys described themselves as homosexual. It's the same as saying that all pedophiles use pornography, but not everyone who uses pornography is a pedophile. |

Over half of these were family (dads,uncles,stepdads and grandfathers).. About 20% of these "hetro" males had young male victims.. As far as the propensity for Homosexual sex offenders, I'd say that considering the percentage of homosexuals nationwide and the percentage of hetrosexuals.. Homosexual males are about 3 times as likely to commit sex crimes as are straights. Just my observation from 6 years of working with these sickos.... |

bigyeti, I don't dispute in any way your personal experiences.
It's just that I'd like to see something along the lines of an answer to my questions that is reliably quantified and sourced. Given that, we can then begin to draw reasonable conclusions without fear of contradiction. I suspect the conclusions one might draw from your experiences would be controversial to some of the PC crowd. Therefore the need for solid stats is imperative. |
