Because I am not fond of vicious dogs and people trying to kill me.

because I can and it pisses off the libs that I can (well in other states than my own that is)
I just gotta think about moving to a free state when I retire. |

1) Carry Guns Concealed.
2) Bypass NICS. 3) Reciprocity in other states. 4) Vendor Discounts. 5) Use Fast Lane at State Capitol. 6) Warnings instead of tickets at traffic stops. and the #1 reason: 76) To get a CHL Badge! |

It's a right I hold and I realize that those who do not exercise their rights often lose them.

The best reasons I can think of... http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/HardShell/RWB%20Family/PortraitJuly2010ALLsmaller.jpg That big ol' ugly guy in the back is responsible for the safety and protection of everyone else in that picture 24/7 and, sadly, there are some circumstances in life where that might require the immediate availability of a firearm regardless of where we might be. (The missus carries daily as well, but that's beside the point here.) Or, IOW, I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. (Stated above at least once, but it bears repeating IMHO.) That is my core reason. |

It can get you out of traffic tickets in Texas. Got stopped on the way back from CO last fall. Showed TX trooper my CCW permit. So did my dad in the passenger seat (He had it out before I could stop him). He thanked us for being open about CCW, congratulated us on the elk, and sent us on our way with just a warning. |

Because I am over in Afcrapastan fighting so you Can have a CCP

One less call to NICS informing them of another gun purchase. Maybe it will screw up their bean counters.
|
|
No 3 day wait on handguns (you still have to have the call in here in FL) and it downgrades your charge from a felony if you carry where you aren't supposed to. That of course in addition to the ability to protect yourself and others from evil.

Each citizen is libel for their personal defense; you may choose to allow others to bear that burden but doing so is a declaration of weakness. Responsible citizens take care of themselves. huuh, thats different here. In Nebraska, each citizen is slander for there personal defense. |

What's a concealed carry permit? I'll have to dig through the Arizona statutes to see if there is such a thing. ;)

Quality of life. Knowing you have the ability to protect yourself and those you care about. It takes a little bit of the fear and uncertainty out of life. Even if you never have to use your firearm to stop an attack - your life has been that much more enjoyable because of that confidence, peace of mind, and dependence on yourself for your well being.

Because if I didn't have this gun the king of England could come over here and push me around!

We shouldn't have to have one but the biggest reason for me is so that I don't get in trouble for carrying a handgun.
|
|
Biggest reason to have one is to not get in trouble for carrying.
Also, in GA it takes place of an FBI check. I can walk in a store, buy a gun and be out in under 5 min. Great for impulse buys - bad for my checking account. |

It only costs $7.50 here in AL.
Too cheap not to get one.
It's $20 here in Houston County, AL. And it's still the best $20 I spend every year, whether I choose to exercise it or not. |

How much fucking money did the asshole, above, waste on his college education?
You'd think that since he's "$60,000 in debt, with loans I'll never be able to repay with my English degree", he'd know the fucking difference between "its" and "it's". ETA: And what's up with that flag? Maybe it's the photo resolution, but those don't look like stars. |
|
Because I'm a grown man who follows the rules. Sheepdog and all that.

Because I'm too old and frail to take a beating from some young thug that wants the $3.87 I have in my pocket.

The Occupy ______ movement may show up at your place of work/residence

We don't get to decide when and where bad guys do bad things.
Humans are animals. the firearm is the great equalizer. I will not be a victim do not expect mercy from professional criminals. My family needs me. |

I live in a free state; I don't need a permit for a God given right. My God given right doesn't apply to federal buildings apparently.
|
|
because it's uniquely American, what other free country allows it's citizens to carry a weapon in public, everyday, for any reason, so easily?
