Bud is for candy-ass beer drinkers, try anything Sierra-Nevada (Pale Ale personal fav.)from CA. Foreign: anything Hacker-Pschorr or Paulaner. Lightfighter...Out!

An ice cold BUDLIGHT on a hot afternoon, now thats living. [beer]

Any good, crisp, cold, fresh lager like Sapporo, Heineke, Grolsch is my favorite type of beer. Usually imported lagers in the green bottles are old and have a bitter skunky taste to them. Fresh, they're really good.

BUDWEISER?! Egads men! Do you wear your wifebeaters when drinking that swill? [}:D] I grew up by the Houston Budweiser brewery on the East side, and it always smelled good, but their beer leaves much to be desired. Not to be a beer snob, but their products rate just higher than Busch or Milwaukee's Beast, I mean Best. Personally, I like any beer I have to chew and cannot see through. [:D] Guinness draught, in the can, or the new bottles nice and cold is just about heaven. As far as domestic beers go, Shiner Bock is good, but they are owned by Bud now. Fat Tire, Pete's Wicked Ale, and most any microbrewed beer is fine by me. For the more commercial stuff, Rolling Rock is a nice alternative to the more pretentious stuff, and isn't half bad for a mass produced beer. I noticed today in the local paper that Miller is being sold to an African brewery conglomarate for almost 3Billion. Then again, after the first few, I'll drink just about anything. Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

I kind of like that Michelob Honey Lager for something different once in awhile. Otherwise it's MGD lite. No imports.

LOL. If you think Dead Guy is strong, beware Rogue's Imperial Stout. It's like 10% alcohol, but the hops and body are so overpowering you can't even taste it. After 3 pints, I was so smashed and I didn't know why....till the bartender who cut me off said it was 10% alcohol. I'm glad you can get Rogue ales on the east coast.

Sierra Nevada- anything by this place is great. They have about 15 different beers they brew at different times of the year and some of them are only for sale at the brewery itself. Now for you guys out East you might not have heard of all the beers they make. The big two are Pale Ale and Wheat. But they make others such as Summerfest, Octoberfest, Celebration Ale (christmas time), Bigfoot Ale (10% al. by vol.), Porter, Stout, Draft Style Pale Ale (only at brewery, its a lighter Pale Ale), Crystal Wheat (a very light and filtered wheat beer), Pale Boch, Blonde Ale, and I know I'm forgetting a few but thats just off the top of my head. And for a tidbit of useless information, the owners are a really cool and down to earth couple of guys. [beer]

When I drank I liked Old Style and Special Export Dark. Making Heilmans Old Style October Fest in La Cross Wisconsin each fall was a must event for our gang, it was like going to beer drinkers heaven. We would camp on Goose Island and commence to power drink for five straight days, it took a month to get over it, I believe it would kill me now.
