I use a hotmail account for any email address I put out on the net, so I get a raft of spam all the time. I did have it all go to the Junk Mail folder that hotmail conveniently sets up for the mail you get from the porno, dick enlarger and get out of debt free companies they sell you address to. Well, as soon as I set my Junk Mail folder to automatically delete anything that goes into it, I noticed that I'm now getting 10 to 15 spam emails a day back in my regular inbox.

I know what you mean. I get about 40 spams a day that go to junk mail and about 12 that go to inbox. Most of this spam started happening when I listed my email on this site. I'm not saying anybody from this site is selling my email, but thats when it started happening[:D]

Go back into your personal profile. You have to uncheck the do not share my info box. Hotmail made some changes and made that choice for you. I did it about week ago and the level of spam dropped quickly. If you need any help shoot me an e-mail. Urban, out.

If your hotmail account doesn't clear up, try yahoo. I use it and have never had a problem with junk mail.

There is no way to block all the spams out there.  Thats why I use netscape.net, yahoo.com, and hotmail.com.  I think these free accounts as temporary accounts.   I regularly close and open accounts.  If you have dsl or cable modem you would know this people are getting probed (port scanned) all the time.  I used to care before, reporting all port scans to my internet provider as well as to that user's isp.  But now I gave up, I'm just going to treat spams, and intrusion attempts as garbage noise of the internet.

I have a Yahoo and Excite account and I never get any spam (other than mail directly form Yahoo or Excite).
