Never made it that far, though. It was just being used to store film, as far as I know.

Summary: He uses solar power to run his house. Any excess electricity is used to split water and he stores the excess hydrogen in propane tanks. When the solar power drops to where he doesn't have enough electricity, he uses the stored hydrogen through a hydrogen fuel cell to convert hydrogen into water + electricity


There is a similar system at UC Davis that powers the Aeration system for Marine science tanks.

Cool.  It's a neat concept even if it isn't something that has widespread applications.
