Nothing upsets me more, and shows the stupidity of the person more, when that person who has never been farther then 100 miles from the town where he was born "MooseFuck Georgia" swallows at face value a line of crap that was spoonfed him from the 'EIB network' or from some jackass preacher that this is the conservative preacher.  The more popular the consevrative, the more wrong he is, and the more a tool he is.  Some of these talking heads on Fox News screaming for war in the middle east have never even fired a gun, much less heard one fired in anger.  Reading 'Atlass Shrugged' does not make you a libertarian intellectual as one state tool would have you believe.  Contnually I see posted, especially in regards to the Middle East conflict, one ignorant and foolish statement after another.  So many conservatives are rendered politically moor through sheer stupidity.  I wont give poster names, but one Born-Again fool comes to mind.  that is why I blame Southern and Midwestern persons for more of this morass because only in isolated homogenous communities where the highlight of the week is bowling across fromt the local Stop & Shoppe, could people be so stupid as to swallow a Farah article on Arafat.

It just proves the old saying that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

View Quote

You haven't the slightest clue. This "false alternative" garbage is about as pointless as it gets, and betrays the staggering naivety of one who's never sampled, up close, what the "other side" offers.

I'm a former socialist. Marxist, perhaps. And if you've ever spent a moment in that camp, you'd realize in short order that the alternatives proposed by popular conservatism (Limbaugh, NR, etc.) while often not as doctrinaire as many would prefer, are far from false, far from ineffective. Read the Green Party platform, and try to find where is might differ from, say, the Chinese constitution.

You'll "get it" pretty quickly, unless you're actually as dense as you're trying to appear.

There is a kind of insular mentality breaded in these [south/midwestern] areas, coupled with an impotent form of Paganism, whoops, Protestantism, ignorant of its own founding books, that makes it notoriously easy to manilpulate.  If I had a nickel...........

Delicious. Especially the "breaded" mentalities.

Fashionable cynicism apparently clouds your sense of irony.

The only reason you're still allowed to participate on this forum (and own what military weapons you still can) are these "easily led" types in the South and Midwest that make gun bans a sticky matter for the ruling classes. That ought to tell you something.

Nobody who defends the Right To Keep and Bear Arms, the single greatest affirmation of the sovereignty of individuals, is an easy mark for the ruling classes.

And I've lived all over the country. If you believe, for a moment, that "insular mentalities" are the exclusive domain of those "sweaty preacher" towns like Moosef**k Georgia, go visit Harvard sometime.

Been there.  Was working at an Alltel site in Fulton and stayed at a hotel on the lake in Oswego.  A little way down the lakeshore was a hamburger joint right on the water where a lot of the SUNY students went.  It was March of 1997 and it was cold and stormy.  Got some good pictures of waves crashing on the seawall and frozen water on the plants near the water.  Was pretty neat.

Oh, by the way, DSAFALS, kiss my backwards ass, ignorant, Georgia, redneck behind.  At least I can spell and seem to have a better command of the English language than you do.  Oh wait!  I have been more than 100 miles from home.  This can't be true since I am one of the ignorant southern masses.

Well, he wasn't letting the left coast or northeasy off either.  Good thing, because many parts of those bastions of "Intellectual integrity" are much more homogenized than any part of the south.  I've lived in small towns in most parts of the USA and there's ton's of diversity of opinion, etc.  I enjoy Limbaugh once every 3 or 4 months, he's an educated entertainer that I often agree with, sometimes don't.
yes, I come from Southern stock, with the rest being ignorant western stock.  I've heard good political arguments since the age of 7 when the 1968 presidential elections were heating up.  Oh yeah, I have two bachelor's degrees and two master's degrees and the wife won't let me go get a Phd cause she's afraid I'll get two of those also.  Bragging, no, I'm just a small town southern and now western boy, no smarter than anybody else on this board.  But I am one example, of many, who think a great deal, are angry, like you are, and want to help people understand what I think the correct views are.  I was fortunate to have the opportunity for education, but mine is no better than the guy that spent 4 or six in the military, it is just different.  Just something to think about.

Well you make a great comment, but why would you consider me a liberal (as far as liberal is defined in American newspeak)

I favor the following and consider most of them critical to national survival:
1) Unrestricted concealed carry
2) No tax on people's income
3) Allodial land deeds
4) Cut third world immigration to 10% of its current rate, while removing a goodly number of those getting in here over the last ten years.
5) Buying out other people to leave the country
6) Gold backed government issued currency (the old scrip from our colonial days)
7) A foreign policy of strict non-interventionaism

That does not clear me as a liberal, but perhaps like most people react the way you do because I can not be catologued, categorized and easily referenced as far as my point of view.

Eagle 1911, Phrigid, you know why cops are forbidden to profile people?  Because the government knows it works, and works really well.

For all your people, the MOOSEFUCK, Georgia reference comes from an awful shit book many ignorant gun owners tout as a Bible, namely, Unintended Consequences by John Ross.  After reading that book I would side with BATF.  But nonetheless, there is a reference made there by one of the charcaters knocking a backwards part of Georgia called MOOSFUCK . . .

Wait a minute, let's define our terms here. If profiling means that I'm going to pull someone over b/c of race or apparent social standards(i.e. they have green hair, piercings, etc.) then profiling is indeed wrong and does not work. If it means that I'm going to want a backup unit when I pull over a car with four teenagers inside and a bumper sticker that says "I kill cops" and not be so concerned when I pull over granny in her Cadillac, then it takes on a whole new meaning and is effective for those in my line of work to stay alive.
