I have some of the mini 12 gauge shotgun shells. But they are slugs not pellets.
Ther argument for having them is you can load more into you shotgun. |

Saw this in one of the firearm magazines a month or so, maybe three or four months, ago. Nice shotgun that shoots them, too. I want one.

You're probably right about them giving your Benelli some problems since it relies on the recoil to operate the bolt. As far as on pumps they should work fine, but it would be interesting to see what, if any, semi's they actually can cycle the bolt through....

Yeah those short shells work perfect in my Winchester 1300 and not so perfect in my Remington 870, but I use the Winchester more anyway. I can put an insane amount of those shorties in the winchester something like 14 or 15, can't remember now.

Some shotguns will only chamber the shorter shells, I think they are 2.5 inch.

Actually the mini shells we are talking about are 2 inch long.....

The mini-shells are advertised to work in the Winchester 1300, the Remington and Mossberg pumps with modification, and that's about it.

These slugs are made by Aguila, and are most easily found thru Dillon Precision. My Winchester 1300 feeds them bloodly FLAWLESSLY, and they will probably work in the Win1200 and 1400 - pretty much the same receiver. Some other pumps will feed them, but will usually require mods to the elevator (and I think the feed ramp.) A competent gunsmith should be able to do the mods for you, and you should still be able to feed regular shells afterwards - check with Aguila.
I like the looks I get at the range when I can crank out 15 rounds without reloading, and the looks from people when they see I didn't reload! FFZ |
