Of all the things you have done in your life so far, what are you most proud of??  What have you accomplished? What is the one thing you really want people to say or remember you by when you die?

I choose my family.  I believe I am a good husband and a decent father.  This is what I truly have accomplished and will be remembered by.

PS That and the one time I placed a 5 shot group all touching at 100yards.[sniper]

My son, who in spite of all the mistakes I made has done well and has become a person of substance and has accomplished much and will accomplish more.

If you happen to come across the current (June) copy of "Sport Compact Car" look starting at page 138.  You'll find a six page spread on the car he built and raced.

Hard to say this early in life. I'm facing by far the hardest time in my life now for reasons I won't go into here, so it may change.

So far, probably the College degree hanging on my wall as I type this. Not because it is a milestone and took a lot of work, but because I went to a superliberal, very prestigious school...and beat the liberal intellectuals at their own game while playing 2 sports and being my conservative self. The few true friends I have made along the way are big too.

Awww crap, you had to bring this up.  I can't think of anything that I'm particularly proud of... But I do think I've found the gal I'm going to ask to be my wife, and I'm not the marrying type. That's something, if not an accomplishment.

Moved to Dallas where they both have sucessful practices. Became a grandfather this year! He did it all and in the correct order! Life is good.....and I could never be more proud!

Proud of being me....No, I am not anybody special or did anything spectacular. When I said of being me, I mean I came from a tough situation of being a reckless living looser (without breaking any law of course) to become a home owner, husband, and parent of two kids. For those who are married with children, you know right there is an accomplishment. And yes I am very proud of my son. The road ahead is long but I will make sure that he will not have to go through as I was.

I'm most proud of being able to say that I married my best friend, and was blessed with 3 beautiful children.

I'm also proud to have been a part of this board, and making some friends who've become like family.

Another thing that I'm proud of is to see is that despite our differences, an occassional spats, if a menber is in trouble, folks like GoatBoy, FMJunkie, and many others, are always willing to extend a helping hand.

Oh yeah, there's this senile old quack up in New York who's become like a brother to me! [:D]

A pair of twins - wouldn't that be four total???

Round here, if you nailt four at once, that qualifies you as a minor deity.

This is a much bigger deal than bagging twins IMHO.

When I was a senior in High School I spent 4 months teaching a handicapped kid how to eat with a fork....that was a big deal to me.

My son of course.

Second place was when a farmer friend let me name his new twin goats.  It was an honor, so I gave them special names.... "Kathrin and Jacquelin".

Why do so many people put their kids or their wife down as their biggest accomplishment ?

My biggest accomplishment in life is figuring out what I wanted to do career wise and going for it.

I don't have kids, but someday I will and I don't think that having kidds will ever be the biggest accomplishment of my life.
