Just brought him home yesterday. We induced labor a couple of weeks early because of my wife's stature (4'7" - 80 lbs) and the baby's growth rate had slowed a bit. He is a **handsome** devil - I think he will favor his mother. Baby is wonderful, mother is wonderful - THANK GOD!!!! Wife did a **great** job - it was her first delivery - had to RIP her cervix because dialation wouldn't start even though she was 80% effaced and manually broke her amniotic fluid bag - all with ZERO meds (she did have an epidural later). I will get some pics posted later - we are SOOO happy and blessed.

Nothing like seeing your first born struggle out, LOL. Your life will changed forever, it was and still is the best thing you can ever experience, or ever will. I hate to see my life without the boys, there quite a blessing
( I have 3) So keep up the good work, help as much as possible, put your family first and life will be good. Congrats and welcome to memories |

Green faced from the cigars? You are a role model and sculptor now. Take care and pictures, and burn the memories deep into your mind. This time is precious. |

There is not anything like it. If mom and baby are well, then everything is fine. Let us see pics.

Take LOTS of pictures - they grow up SO fast. He'll be crawling, walking, talking and off to school before you know it. What a blessing!! |

It's a wonderful time. Glad your family is all well.
Order an M44 .22 from the CMP $75.00 for Jr. Then start saving for college. Oh and in two years when your sleep gets back to something approaching normal. Take the wife out on a date :-) if not sooner. |

I was cleaning my AR this afternoon, and considered New Dad Tate: If he is as exacting with his new boy as he is with his AR, that child is going to set some personal hygiene records.
Mom: "Tate, will you change the young lad's diaper?" Tate: "Why yes, my dear. I'd be happy to." Mom: "Tate, put down those pipe cleaners and Q-Tips..." [:D] |

Pics added!
Already had him an LEGP RRA AR, but I was strapped for cash so I sold it for a very modest profit (still have one left, though!). Our family shares its firearms, so he already has a pretty good selection! He has a Daisy Red Ryder, a shortened stocked 10/22, a youth model Rem 700 .243, and a Colt Sporter Lightweight waiting for his initial use. I will soon try to save up and get "him" (us!) at LEAST one A1 stocked RRA receivered, BM 20" fluted HBAR barreled AR. Lots of Glocks available for his shooting pleasure too.[:D] As for college - they will both be ***encouraged*** to go to school on Uncle Sam's dime - with my help - after his stint in the armed services of the United States. [marines] As for ammo, my wife has been riding my ass for being "ungrateful" for the gifts he has been getting. We are TRULY blessed and have been showered with wonderful things for the baby, but sometimes my attitude is "why does he need that". "He'll outgrow that soon". "He'll like the box better than what's inside". "We don't need to decorate the room - a couple of JPFO posters and a sheet metal Glock sign, and he's set!". "What the boy NEEDS is Galyans gift certificates so he can start acquiring those cases of $149.50 Win Q3131A!!! - he'll be lucky if the stuff is still sold to the peasants when he grows up!!!". [:D] As to hygiene - HAHA!!! No pipe cleaners, but I am making sure that his circumcision is healing correctly with lots of q-tips and ointment. Took him to the doc for an unscheduled followup on D+5. Skin was staying attached to the "helmet" on one side. That was unsat. Had the doc pushit down - now we got a full crown! (he howled!) I did the same myself with the other son . Standard butwipes are unsat too. Unless we are traveling, we undress and go through the "car wash" in the sink or tub. Diaper rash will NOT be tolerated!! His disposition is wonderful - sleeps great! Thanks to all! Tate |
|
Tomorrow I'll add the pics of him with his AR and Glock mags in the hospital heh heh heh.

Outstanding!!! It's never to early to teach him safe firearms, and the joy of shooting...OK wait a few years, congrats![beer]

There's now way to do away with the pw - grrrr. btw - Jarhead_22, he can do more pullups than his fat-assed unsat daddy can. [:D] |

Congratulations to you and your family!!
My son was 19.25 inches long and 5 pounds 15.5 ounces when he visited his pediatrician last Friday. Unfortunately, he's not a newborn. He was two months old on the 16th. Wishing you much happiness with your new tiny bundle of joy, Judi |
|
Judi - just said a prayer for your son. Please keep me posted on his progress. Wish the best for y'all.
Tate |
|
Congratulations!
It looks like your son is having a conversation on a cell phone. "Yeah Barbara, Colton here. Strangest thing happened to me today. I was swimming here, minding my own business and then WHAM! Somebody drains my pool. Next thing I know, some big jerk wearing gloves starts pulling at my head. Who is that psycho?? You too? Ooops, gotta go. Some people wanna take my picture to post on the internet. Caio' " |
