I'm not kidding here. Movies lately haave generally sucked.
Sure we had two good ones in Blackhawk Down and We Were Soldiers, but that's about it. Changing Lanes was dumb, and could have been over in 30 minutes to an hour. High Crimes was slightly better, but the ending was too easy to see halfway thru the movie. Granted, Ashlie Judd is about the finest thing I have ever seen. She's like Sandra Bullock. Even if you don't want to see the movie, you have to because she's in it.
Hopefully, The Sum of All Fears, and Spider Man will be better than the current crop of movies. As for Star Wars, maybe we can see a little more of Natalie Portman this time. That would help things also.
I looked at a web site listing upcoming movies for the rest of the year. It's a pretty barren field until 2003.
