IBTP and yes - except right now - finger is bandaged up
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:12:59 PM EDT
I do, but not when I'm at home. I've never been one to wear it 24/7.

He's never taken his off though unless it's a safety hazard with whatever he's working on.

When I was married yes, it was my wife who had trouble wearing hers.

This however my ring did save my hand once from being crushed while moving furniture!
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:13:55 PM EDT
Nope.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:14:52 PM EDT

Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:16:20 PM EDT
Only take it off to be cleaned.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:16:44 PM EDT
Boating accident.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:17:23 PM EDT
Yes, but I take it off at work. Also wear a Master Mason's ring.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:18:16 PM EDT
I only take it off when I am working with my hands, mixing foods with my hands (meatloaf, hand-making burgers, etc.), or need to be wearing gloves (shooting, hunting, butchering a deer) or doing some sort of exercise that requires my hand on a bar (pull-ups, weightlifting).

Almost 24/7 except when doing work that involves mechanic work.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:18:37 PM EDT
Nope, why bother.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:19:45 PM EDT

I was particular about my ring. I wanted a copy of my father's wedding ring. That's what a man's ring should look like in my mind, because that's what I grew up looking at.

Had to have it cobbled up all custom-like, and the result was everything I hoped for. I wear it with pleasure.

Google "finger degloving injury" on images.google.com for reasons why not to.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:21:44 PM EDT
No. Well, I should say occasionally. Special nights out I wear it on my ring finger. Usually I have it on a chain around my neck. Otherwise the ring falls off during the winter months and my fingers swell during the summer...makes it rather uncomfortable all the dang time.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:22:06 PM EDT
i keep it on my old dog tag chain, cant ware it at work, have a guy at work missing a finger because of his
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:22:21 PM EDT
I voted sometimes....when working around the Bradley's and other armor, I take it off, I like having fingers attached to my body...other than that, I always wear it, its a symbol of a commitment/Oath I made to my wife....

I used to, but then I was constantly taking it off out of necessity while I was working, at the gym, working on stuff, etc that I began to get paranoid about losing it. Plus sometimes I have to deal with shitbirds, and I don't necessarily want to advertise that I have a family.

Yes. Always.

ETA - will remove for safety or to clean greasy hands after working on a car or whatever.

I had one cut off due to a smash at work (hammer related injury) many years ago (actually, two marriages ago)

I still wear mine every day.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:24:33 PM EDT
I voted yes, but I don't. But I did when I was married.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:24:35 PM EDT
I wear mine with the exception of when I'm at the gym to lift. The bar would wear down the soft gold too much.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:25:24 PM EDT
Yes. Except when I sleep, work out or play golf/playsports.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:26:15 PM EDT
No, for safety reasons. I'm a mechanic, too much of a chance to get cruhed or having

hot metal from welding or torching land on and sticking to it.

Lost 50 lbs., the ring falls off, so no.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:30:14 PM EDT
Everyday for the past 13 years (even though there were a couple of times I wanted to shove it...down her throat)

Besides my grandfathers wristwatch my dad gave me (and no, he didn't need to sneak it out of a POW camp) it's the only piece of jewelry I even own.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:31:50 PM EDT
First one wouldnt slip over my arthritic knuckles so wifey got me another one after 10 years. She'd always bitch because I'd take it off at work where I was sticking my hands into moving machinery, she could not comprehend the saftey aspect of not wearing one. Then I'd forget to put it on at home and i would get reminded again, even while I'm just doing yard work. I was doing some painting at home one week and wearing latex gloves and didnt want to wear it under gloves I told her. Well, one time I pulled off my gloves while I was wearing it and the ring must of slipped right off with the gloves adn got tossed in the trash. Never saw that ring again and havent had a ring for 2 years now.
Link Posted: 9/13/2010 7:33:09 PM EDT
I wear mine all the time. With the exceptions of When I am washing my hands at work (dont want to drop it down the drain) and working on a machine. It is titanium so i can do some things with it just dont want to get my finger ripped off
