Custom Beer Tap $240.00  New Keg of Shiner $112.00  Freshly filled CO2 Bottle $9.50  Being woken up at 3am this morning by 2 DRUNK Dogs and a Cat covered in Beer from a failed 50 Cent plastic Pipe Cap and finding 15 Gallons of beer flooding your House " Not so Priceless”. |

So you used a PVC threaded cap on the hot side of the faucet, to plug it off? Did it actually fail, as in blow off or just leak?

That tap is going to be D-I-R-T-Y.
Keep a spray bottle of sanitizer handy and apply liberally after each pour. Otherwise you're going to have all sorts of goobers living on that tap spout. And is that regulator set to around 16psi? Drop it to 10-11, depending on how much resistance that tap has. At 16, you're wasting gas and really overcarbonating your beer. Unless you just like to burp, I guess.
