Huh, there are no other families other then ours that share our last name in the US. I was quite surprised. There are only 25 people that have the same name.

My name is Michael Johnson.There are about 50,000 people with the name Michael Johnson in the US.
That is 1000 per state!

This means I am VERY difficult to find.

Even within the clan there is a couple of different spellings. I think there are 8 living people that have the last name as I do.

My family has been in America since the middle 1600's. We had large families and spread far and wide. Although the name is unique, there are a lot of people that share the name.

Edit;

According to one source, about 2,700 people in the U.S. share my surname. Only about 525 spell it the way my family does.

says there are only 249 other people with my first and last name.

add illegal in there im sure both numbers would go up at least 10 percent.

I don't know for sure but probably quite a few especially in Salt Lake City, UT. Maine, Wisconsin, Arkansas and Missouri all have towns with my last name. There is also a University and a Guitar with my last name.

All over the world - the only people with my last name are directly related to me. In the US- there is my family of four and then my dad's cousin, his two sons, and two daughters. That's it.

As for my first name, I've never met someone with it.
