Just put vast stash of booze out; they will find it, start fighting each other for fun, they will start singing and running around naked, etc......... It's what Brits do.

WTF does he mean by that?
The British are not even breathing hard yet. |

Quoted:
Paul Revere never said "The British are coming." Well, what do you think he said to Adams and Hancock when he got to Lexington? The Russians are coming? |

WTF does he mean by that? The British are not even breathing hard yet. I think OP fancies himself a revolutionary. Despite the fact he lives in a safe, first world country with a democratic, representative and accountable government, he is still not happy. He wants more (much like the welfare queens, in an ironic way). He wants society to be ordered exactly as he sees fit, and because America doesn't agree with him, and he can't convince them of his brilliance, the only answer in OP's mind is a violent overthrow of the aforementioned government, in contravention of the laws society has imposed to ensure that government remains so. He is trying - and failing - to draw a parallel to the situation in 1776, where there were some legitimate gripes to be had. |

Yeah it must have been tough having a professional Army and Navy to deal with the pesky natives and secure you some of the best real estate in the known world to squat on. The out rage of having to pay a tax on a luxury item like tea that was shipped across the Ocean so you could sit around and drink tea and talk shit about the king all day. |

Paul Revere never said "The British are coming." Well, what do you think he said to Adams and Hancock when he got to Lexington? The Russians are coming? Back then we WERE British. It would make just as much sense today as shouting 'The Americans are coning!" Paul Revere shouted "The Regulars are out!" (Meaning Regular British troops) |

They are coming for our superior welfare benefits.
Money fer nothin and chicks fer free. It's the leftist way. |

If it was that far, I doubt we'd be communicating on a public board.

I disagree. If they had treated us like we were British instead of colonist to plunder we would still be under the Crown. As for what Revere actually said, who knows? I don't think even Ed Sr. is that damn old. |

Coning is so 1980's. Nobody's doing that today. But if the BRITS started coning, I could see where that could warrant a thread lock. |

Poems and historical fiction movies are good enough for me. Facts are for liberals. |

No. The context of the sentence and the conversation which it was stated would make it clear to an educated and literate person that 'American colonists' refers to 'those who colonized America (who were British)' rather than 'colonists of American nationality' and 'British' to 'Britons who lived in Britain'. |
