MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) -Ouachita Parish deputies are on the scene of a double murder in West Ouachita Parish. The sheriff's office tells KNOE 8 News that it happened on the 100 block of Mt. Vernon Church Road sometime Thursday night. They received a call around 7 this morning reporting the murders. A student at West Ouachita High School is the suspect in the murders, but deputies are not releasing his name because he is a juvenile. The student apparently went to school this morning - causing the school to be on lockdown for about an hour from 8:30-9:30. Students were not allowed to leave class. Students say they were asked to hide behind desks. They also say they didn't know for an hour what was happening. Superintendent Bob Webber says the suspect in the double homicide was arrested on school grounds without any problems. No one was injured during the lock down. School doors were reopened around 10 am. Parents waited outside of the school for students to walk out. When students were allowed to leave, parents and students exchanged hugs and tears. School has closed the rest of the day. Apparently he had called his girlfriend and told them what he did and threatened to kill her too. His shotgun was found in the truck. My sister's kids go to this school and it's where my brother graduated from.  I went to high school with the murdered father. |

Copy cat of a kid that did the same thing to his parents and little sisters. My Mom use to baby sit them and the shit bag was a ring bearer in my sister's wedding.

Clay Shrout retaliated today by killing his parents and his two younger sisters, Lauren and Kristen, before he headed off to school. He entered his trigonometry class five minutes late. Emotionless, he pulled out a gun from his waist. Clay announced that he was holding the class hostage and when a student asked him why, Clay replied, "I have had a really bad day, I've just killed my family." After about 30 minutes Clay released his hostages to the police. During his trial he was found mentally ill, but guilty and sentenced to life in prison without parole for 25 years." |

It should be tried as a hate crime in court. I mean he committed the crime in LA so it has to be a hate crime right?
