Remember when late night tv ended with The National Anthem before the station went off for the night.
Remember when you could read the description of an item on the package and not have to search for the English script.
I miss the old USA.

What do you miss?

Sodas and Gatorade in glass bottles with the styrofoam labels
Ronald Reagan
Looney Tunes cartoons (especially the un-PC ones)
Oil in cans
Playing dodgeball and "smear the queer" at recess
McDonalds McDLT

Americans weren't big pussies and let backwards third world idiots and their ideologies push them around. Pathetic really, our enemies are BOLD in the face of our patheticness. The western culture is in decline and a new totalitarian possibly religious based dark ages is coming...........

Having a semi-rational mortal enemy we could feel warm and fuzzy about reaching the occasional human understanding with (mostly in teen oriented 80's movies, but still).

Who remembers "Russkies"? I just looked that up and realized it had Joaquin Phoenix in it. Huh.

Decent TV, variety shows, Tom and Jerry, Beverly Hillbillies, Munsters, Combat, etc.
Police were helpful with minor crimes, sometimes going to the perps house and telling him to square up or else. Bad guys were the only ones who needed to worry about the cops.
Buying smokes and ammo at 14.
Being able to carry a Buck knife on your belt at school.
A lack of Section 8 housing.
Never saw "People of WalMart" in every damn store you go to.
Stealing and lying were bad things.
A lack of rules and regulations controlling every minute of your personal and business existence.
Being able to "hop up" your car.
