My kids love this show. It's not too bad to watch for adults either. There are plenty of jokes that would go over most kid's heads.

My 7 year old just introduced me to Phineas & Ferb as well as Kick Buttowski.

He also likes Penguins of Madagascar.

He is all kinds of excited for the new season of Clone Wars as well.

It's on here at this house all the time, I have to admit I'm a fan.

Never thought it would be admitted here though.

Captain Planet was a cartoon in the early 90s.  Gaia, the Earth Spirit, put together a team of multinational kids. She gives them elemental power rings to fight the destruction of the earth.  They are known as Planeteers.

When they join powers it summoned Captain Planet, a greenish superman.

It actually has plot structure.  I enjoy it as well as my kids.  (I also have to concur about the comment on Spongebob, which I find one of the greatest examples of cartoon genius to come along in decades)

I watch P&F with my niece and nephew, good show.

What makes Spongebob an example of cartoon genius is that every character represents a different sin:

Sloth: Patrick

Wrath: Squidward

Greed: Mr. Krabs

Envy: Plankton

Gluttony: Gary

Pride: Sandy

Lust: SpongeBob

Now you will never watch Spongebob the same again!

Phineas:  Why do they call it "Badbeard Lake"?

Grandpa:  Well, It's a body of fresh water surrounded by land.

Phineas:  No, the "Badbeard" part.

LOL, well, my mind does seem to wander when I have to watch these shows over and over.

Looking up the 7 sins on Wiki, it lists a few other sub-sins that also fit with characters:

Despair: Mrs. Puff

Vainglory: Larry T. Lobster

Rick: "I've noticed some unusual behavior from our Mayor.  Here's footage of him from a year ago.  Notice how his hand moves side-to-side when he waves.  Side, to side.  Now here's footage of him from two days ago.  See?  He smiles, lifts his hand up into the air and...  turns into a werewolf with fiery eyes and runs off into the misty mountains."
