Well I am at my desk at work, watching the tropical storm winds moving the trees around as Hermion passes over San Antonio. Beats anotherwise boring Tuesday. I just hope the power is still on when I get home. I hate sitting in the dark.

Anyone else hunkered down for the great tropical storm?

PS Thank god this formed just off the gulf coast. Any further out in the gulf of mexico we would have been dealing with cat 2 winds over San Antonio instead. That would have been a very bad seen given the piss poor housing construction around here.

My county is still missing all the rain.

Damn the luck, the grass is still crunchy and no rain.

Houston County is in desperate need of rain. Hopefully we can get some with the quickness.

Looks like the eye just passed. The winds have died down, and the rains so far have not been too bad. It will probably rain on and off the rest of the day, but I suspect that the worst is over.

Yup we dodged a big bad bomb on this one and got some beneficial rain.

It could regroup and become the Big One.

We're getting pleanty of rain in Austin/CP. I'm happy, I won't have to water the garden or the grass for quite a while now.

Heard the Weather Channel warning about mudslides in South Texas from this storm.

I laughed. the only mudslide in that flat country is from losing your footing in a mud puddle.
