Like from wine bottles? I mean, I recycle the glass, the wrapping, why not the cork?

Make your own chicken McNuggets from them.

They can be collected and made into pretty cool trivets.

You could plug a hole in a dike.

Or put one on the end of a spike.

Drill them for a short wooden dowel, and then paint one end with fluorescent paint.

Burn one and apply to face for night ops.

Or you could make a floating pen.
Or feed one to a chicken, for an unhappy hen!
When you do , we'll know not when
But if you do, you can tell us then.

The future of the poster's cork
Will be lost in threads of member's Pork.
In spite of all the talk we're makin
Most posts here are all about Bacon.

Yes, cork can be recycled & re-used. Typically the cork is ground to make cor-o-prene or similar products.

Take your corks to someplace like Whole Foods (diesel fuel on the upper lip helps with the hippy stink) they will have a recycling box. Your old corks may be someones valve cover gaskets next year.

The material that's traditionally used as a stopper
Will be unfamiliar to a Wal*Mart shopper
For he will suffer several shocks
To learn that not all wine comes in a box

THANK YOU!

I'd hug you, for giving a nice and reasonable response in a room full of jokers, if I could!

I'm glad you got the words you seek
In far less time than in a week
Now reunite that lighweight cork
Ignore my prose about the pork
Tho when fried, they're finger licken
Still'd like to see that pissed off chicken.
