I have a few, but I prefer 30rnd magazines since I never shoot off a bench anyway.
|
|
Mostly prefer 20's, I have no real use for the 30's except for the fact that they are amazingly cheap.

I love my 20s.
they are my go to any time i am hoofing with my ar15. I guess if i was being hunted my zombies or commies i might bump up to the 30s, but for rec shooting or pest control, love dem 20z |
|
I love them on my precision build, however I've gone through a TON of them to find ones that have decent followers/springs in them. Maybe it's just the local gunshows I go to , but i've bought about half a dozen 20rds that don't work ,yet haven't had a single 30rd mag ever give me issues.

On a -15, don't think I've ever used them seriously. Used the 30 rounds and in standing with a combat sling, I haven't run into interference.
On a -10, use them all the time. I'm still in the same stance as with a -15 but when I was shooting M-14's, they made a mighty nice palm rest like one might find on a 40X. ________________________________________________________________ ("Ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty or more The Bloody Red Baron was rollin' up the score Eighty men died tryin' to end that spree of the Bloody Red Baron of Germany....", lyrics, (wtte), "Snoopy versus the Red Baron" by the Royal Guardsmen) |

20rd mags are awesome. Way awesome...much handier in/out of vehicles and aircraft. I run 20s on the sides of my armor...to clear my elbows/arms. Sad story: I've seen units turn in BOXES, huge boxes full of them to be destroyed. +1, I had a drop leg 20rd mag pouch while in A-Stan, I had a folding/retracting bipod on my M4, and when we got issued ACOGs I thought the combo was perfect. If I knew I was going to be in the prone for a little bit I would usually insert one of my 20 rounders into my weapon. I haven't really cared much for the 30rd drop leg pouches that I have used, and I think 20rd mags are much better suited in that type of rig. |

I like them too. For prone they work well. But even so they have a cool retro factor that I like too.
|
|
Great for prone position, I'd like a few myself as mine are all 30 rounders...

You will be happy to know that you can get awesome repro waffle mags from NoDak Spud as opposed to paying $200-300 for an original. Thanks for the info and link for repros Bro. I still want at least one of the real deals too. Danny |

Aluminum 20 rounders- I remember watching something on the Alaska National Guard saying these fed much better than 30 round GI mags in the cold.
PMAG 20 rounders- Some here have had rare issues where the mag goes too far "up" into the mag well, causing issues, as it doesn't have a physical ridge like the 30 rounders do. |

I like them on long range/ target rifles because they don't get in the way when you're laying down. |

Love them. Got a Saw can full of lightly used 70 era 20 rounders. Got a 50 call full of new ones and a couple of unopened boxes like pictured above.

I have an assortment of 10's, 20's and 30's. (I still have I think a 5 rounder that originally came with one of my RRAs.)
The 20's do make the rifle look neat and clean. |
|
I'm a 20 round user. I buy em when I see them.
I shoot prone with a bipod or service rifle high power style. thirties aren't that handy for said activities. |
|
I have a shitload of 30 rd. Magazines. I always use my 20 rd. Mags.
|
|
I have 10/20 and 10/30 Pmags.
Prefer the 10/20s for bench shooting, because its easier to have it drop free when you are stuck with a damn BB in CA. If I lived in a free state, I think I'd go with 30 rounders, with 1-2 20 rounders. |

I like them; they're pretty cool.
I have one 20rd Pmag. Wish I had more. |

I like the old school look of an A1 set up with 20 rounders. I may be converting my primary zombie killer to this set up in the next month or so instead of my AK

Love them. My RRA National Match came with a 20rnd NHMTG and I initially used it with my PCLIP 20s in highpower matches.
I liked them so much, and the way that the Al mags drop free easier, that I got my extra NHMTG 20rnd mags from www.44clip.com |
