He's half lab and half something else.

What do yall think the other half is?

ETA: He is 4 months old if that helps.

You're type of dog is referred to as a <CoC violation> dog in my parts.

He's cute though.

possum?
Link Posted: 9/1/2010 10:24:17 PM EDT
Careful... it might eat your baby.
Link Posted: 9/1/2010 10:25:24 PM EDT
Not sure...I'm guessing one of the popular bird/coon hunting breeds.
Link Posted: 9/1/2010 10:26:54 PM EDT
That's either a pit bull or an AK47.
Link Posted: 9/1/2010 10:27:34 PM EDT
I was going to say some kind of terrier
Link Posted: 9/1/2010 10:34:33 PM EDT
lab/ heeler?
Link Posted: 9/1/2010 10:41:31 PM EDT
I'm going with collie of some type. That little stripe looks just like my 2 dogs. Mine are black and white however, he could be a red border collie/lab mix
Link Posted: 9/1/2010 10:43:07 PM EDT
Was the lab ever around any opossums?
Link Posted: 9/1/2010 10:54:04 PM EDT
Well, I WAS going to vote for Possum...but someone beat me to it. I'll say Boxer. With those long legs and short snout.

Does this creature have magnets ?
Link Posted: 9/1/2010 11:21:38 PM EDT
According to the media and reporters that is a pit bull, rottweiler, or a black man...

My fiancee says that he is half Sheppard because he points his ears up when he hears stuff, and from this youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0mVEE_jLOc&feature=related she says that that dog is identical.

He is a shelter dog, his litter was found left besides the road.

So I have no idea.

Yeah, but the freckles & thin fur right behind his nose remind me of this:

(Red Tick Coon Hound)

Collie? What does the fur feel like?

Heeler
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 3:24:29 AM EDT
I am also going to say heeler from the way his ears/eyes/brows are arranged.

Good lookin' pup, congrats!

This is as a pic of his brother from the spca where we got him.

chupacabra.

I can ask the woman when she wakes up. She's worked with animals for over 10 years.

I say part pitt. Cute little fella, whatever he is.

I can't wait to get a dog of my own one day.
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 3:49:17 AM EDT
Kinda looks like the blue tick. Good looking dog either way.
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 3:49:23 AM EDT
Nice puppy
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 3:50:05 AM EDT
I'm not to sure what kind of dog he is but please don't let him fall into the hands of the Egyptian Army. He's a cute pup.

Pit.
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 3:52:53 AM EDT
pit with a heavy dose of retriever

shelters are really hamming the retriever lineage when a pit is involved.

they'll note lab mixes in order to help the little fellas/gals to get adopted....

and help the new owners to get around the HOA regulations

I am a softy as far as getting things my fiancee wants, she wanted a dog to keep her company in our new house/ wake her up in time to shoot anyone breaking in. So I told her it was ok to go get one.

I had a pet Alligator I caught as a kid till it escaped during a flood if that helps my image.

Yes, that is true. I have 5 pit/lab mixes and they are very good, very intelligent dogs. The pit stigma makes otherwise good dogs difficult to adopt out. To me it's a positive not a negative.

Cute lil' rascal.
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 5:17:25 AM EDT
Not a possum.

canis familiaris

Looks like he's got pit in him.

Link Posted: 9/2/2010 6:34:51 AM EDT
What makes yall say pit?
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 6:35:30 AM EDT
Dickfer?
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 6:35:54 AM EDT
That's a miniature Pit-Lab. I think.
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 6:41:23 AM EDT
I vote Border Collie.
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 6:43:36 AM EDT
Not sure about breed but whatever you do, don't post a picture of said puppy being savagely killed by Egyptian "soldiers" and then post a commonly used derogatory term for those who wear certain clothlike garments on their heads. Otherwise you'll get reported by a namby pamby crybaby and get a msg/warning from a mod about using said derogatory term.

Now back to the program...

Looks like a fine animal. I'm sure he will bring you and your family years of joy and companionship.
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 6:43:38 AM EDT
It's a dog.
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 6:45:27 AM EDT
I'm thinking at least 25% Boxer.
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 6:46:53 AM EDT
Border Collie?
Link Posted: 9/2/2010 6:47:59 AM EDT
Looks like a lab/pit mix, but more lab than anything. IMHO the pit really shows on his brother. Has some of the facial features and the stripe between his eyes looks pit to me. Cute pup for sure though.
