Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the worst U S President in my opinion. Why?  The reasons are too numerous to list.

My first response was "Duhhh".

Then I had a moment of lucidity--FDR, definitly.

Clinton was merely(??!!) the most disrespectful Pres.

Whoever invented our current SOCIAL(ist) Security system.  Semi-good idea, very bad execution.  Next, who else?  Bubba especially when he was prancin' around with that dumb looking hat and shotgun proclaiming how he was a duck hunter as a boy, then he and his crew shoved it right up our asses(Brady Bill)!

FDR - definitely.  He was the king and founder of entitlement programs.  The New Deal is still worshipped by liberal democrats to this day.  It has been almost 70 years since he was first elected and we are still paying the piper.

Lyndon Johnson, hands down.  He presided over the biggest expansion of the federal nanny state and guaranteed our political defeat in the Vietnam War along with the needless deaths of young American soldiers with his wartime policy.

Sorry if this is misleading, but I posted this thread twice before I figured out it was going to page 4.

My top 5 are Lincoln, Kennedy, FDR, Johnson, and Clinton (no particular order.)

Anybody up for Kennedy?  How 'bout that 1961-62 executive order for dissarmament the Birchers are always passing out?

Well its a tough call there have been so many. Prior to Clinton I would say FDR who really promoted BIG Government programs and started the socialist movement in full. While it help pull America out of a depresion the bad effects linger on today.

WJC for putting his own ambitions above the country's interests.

2. Carter-too stupid to be pres.
3. Johnson-stated above.

Hard to say, there were some pretty damn bad ones back in the late 19th Century. But I would have to go with LBJ, just for his horrid welfare plan and for getting us so deeply involved in the Vietnam War.

As a registered Democrat, the president I was most disapointed in was Clinton. Almost none of the DNC platforms were passed, he even sold out the people on welfare. His presidency was all about doing favors for fat cats, like NAFTA and taking Chi Com money.
He did more to hurt the American labor movement than Nixon.
He really was all talk & no action.
(I would really love to send this to him, but I think he already knows.)
