Typical......05 cent ammo tax and tobacco taxes are discriminatory(sp?) against the poor. If you have money and are a politician/holliwierd type you can do anything that the common man can't.

I hope this creep is TRULY afraid! Enough stress from well deserved fear will cause him to drop dead of natural causes - and soon!

Jerk antis should be denied permits. Maybe we need a sworn statement of support for gun rights and full support of the constitution before a permit is issued. Oath to defend and protect, as written and amended, seems appropriate. I certainly have no problem swearing it, do you?

What a punk! Is that the correct word? Is thug more appropriate? This is the type of crap JP Strom, former head of the South Carolina state police, used to pull. He yelled loudly against concealed carry and private gun ownership for decades while handing-out carry permits to local politicians and the families of police officers. We even had to sign to buy ammo here for decades, and had to listen to his crap about how murder rates would go up dramatically if stores didn't track ammo sales. Unfortunately, he was in that position from 1956 until 1987, so we in South Carolina had to listen to that hypocrite for years. The new guy, Chief Robert Stewart, is no better. The liberal elite can still get permits, but new chief is still arbitrarily refusing a percentage of the new permit applications despite the shall-issue law. What about the well being of my family?z

He's only adding fuel to his own funeral pyre. I have some amount of respect for a person who has convictions and sticks to them, no matter how wrong they are. One of these days, someone who has a little less self control than myself is going to return one of those bullets to Mr. Perata for his $.05 deposit.
