First, look at who the Lord is having Moses talk to:
(NIV)[red]33:51 "Speak to the [u]Israelites[/u] and say to them: `When you cross the Jordan into Canaan....[/red]
The BIGGEST misconception today is what the term "Jew" means. Jew is short for Judah, the tribe of Judah. Judah was only one of the tribes of the nation of Israelites, which were made up of Gad, Asher, Dan, etc...
JEW/JUDAH are only a part of the nation of Israel. In the Bible you will find later that the Israelites and the tribe of Juhad were at war with each other. Afterwards, the rest of the Israelites after being lead of into captivity were spread through the world since then, and they have lost their identity.
"Israel" today is a piece of land that has been named Israel, and the confusion between what is a Jew, and what the nation of Israel was is due to the failure of our "spiritual" leaders to speak ALL the truth. That piece of land in the middle east is in no way shape or form, the NATION of Israel in the old testament. BUT.....the lord WAS speaking to the ISRAELITES in numbers 33:51, not just jews. The jews were standing alongside their brethern tribes during that time.
God will reunite the nation of Israel when his son returns. This is prophesied in Ezekiel.
[red](KJV)Ezk 33:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

Ezk 37:22And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.[/red]
