There was a movie from the late 80s.
It was a cop buddy flick. The senior partner was a fat black cop. His partner was a cat who had his own pillow in the car.
The senior partner was killed by two vampires who moved into town, right in front of the cat trapped in the car.
The cat rounded up all the other cats in town and they attacked the vampires and killed them.
What the heck was the name of that movie?

I was drunk when I saw it (in the Corps), but I did see it.
I just can't remember the movie name, and it is really bothering me.

I tracked it down online using the name, it was "Sleepwalkers". I just plain forgot about the other plots, and for some reason the story of a partner's revenge stuck in my mind.
