That was an awesome photo - a beautiful girl.  One of those photos you always remember.

The eyes look the same, but the nose looks different in the two pictures.  Especiallt near the tip of her nose.

She's an Afghan woman, leading an Afghan woman's life.

I can see the hardship in her eyes.

I'd heard that most of the Taliban and Al Qaeda prisoners at Gitmo had tuberculosis, and some other Third World illnesses. Lice in abundance, as well.
