The Bankers propose Crypto to replace Dollar at Jackson Hole

Then along came former Goldman banker and current (outgoing) BOE governor, Mark Carney, who in his lunchtime address laid out a shocking, radical proposal - perhaps the most stunning thing to ever be unveiled at Jackson Hole - urging to replace the US Dollar with a "Libra-like" reserve currency in a dramatic revamp of the global monetary, financial and economic order.

Speaking to fellow policy makers and academics at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, he said that in the short term central bankers must deal with the situation as it is. But he also warned that “blithe acceptance of the status quo is misguided,” and dramatic steps will ultimately be needed. It's what he said next that was stunning:

"In the longer term, we need to change the game," Carney said. "When change comes, it shouldn’t be to swap one currency hegemon for another."

This is where, if Carney indeed speaks for his central banking peers, one can say "game over" for the fiat system, which now even establishment members admit will need to devalue against something outside of the fiat system, such as Gold (as Pimco's Harley Bassman suggested back in 2016), or cryptocurrency/stable coins, like Libra.

It is interesting what is being proposed:

- On face it is hard to deny that fiat and the Dollar’s egregious violations of Breton Woods have made the world situation difficult

- There is no question that a WRC with a gold backing is superior to 'full faith and credit' backed by the barrel of a gun

- It is logical to argue against mere replacement of the dollar by the fiat of the next super power

- Assets are over valued in dollar denominations on a gross scale

- Switching away from the Dollar leaves Americans holding a huge bag of over valued crap that destroys all, and with loss of WRC status, we loose political status - dead the water / see fundamental change like the UK post WW2.

- The FED, Bank of England, other (private) Central Banks, Bank of International Settlements - naked push for power

May be. As the tariffs go up the costs of merchandise spiral upwards and you price yourself right out of that market. You become uncompetitive and lose business to those who respond more quickly with other goods.

Think, Amazon. This does not bode well for them. They have a cloud service which is the real target, too. And along with ignoring Trump, which is your right, you identify with the Cabal. The awakening American consumer may not respond well to seeing Chinese good continuing to be shipped in when other sources - and better sources - get ignored.

Those who do exercise some resourcefulness discover goods that have been shunned from the market by the players who only deal with China. That weakens the Chinese retailer cabal even further. Think, Walmart.

And he's ordering businesses to do this? Massive trolling to produce overreaction and separate the sheep from the goats. American businesses already doing trade with non Chinese sources really don't give a damn other than to expect their sources to be mobbed by new buyers. So, fair warning. Lock those contracts in. We are talking the Christmas season right now - in 6 weeks that merchandise is shipping. Tell me we can't have an embargo as a final card in this trade war. Hobby Lobby, are you listening?

It can have an impact on auto parts, too. The loss of pirated designs cheaply reproduced will affect a lot of industries.

"Ordering" business is the icing on the cake with this tariff increase, it gets people's attention. In this media market getting attention and controlling the narrative is the goal.
