Sooo.......A High West rep was at my local Beach liquors store... this is apparently a new release, along with the same bottle in Manhattan form. They only had 4 bottles for purchase each. I promise you, this is the most true to taste old fashioned from a bottle that I've ever tasted PERIOD. Unbelievably worth the 30 bucks if you can find it.....and its 86 proof...

I generally try to stay with the older, 11-14 year picks but those seem to be drying up. I think they are holding those back for their own 12 and 15 year releases. Used to be you could find 14 (and almost but not quite 15 year old) store picks all over the place. |

I'm glad I picked a few up before they disappeared here. What's the other in the blue boxes? Old man eyes can't tell. |

The blue boxes are Alberta Premium Cask Rye, which is spectacular shit.

Nothing special, but its very hard to grab for a good price in KY. The KC with a gold dip is a store pick. Ive had good stuff from them in the past, so I figured I would give it a shot. Nothing in this spread is really hard to find, other than Bombergers, but I got them all for a good price. Hell, the ER was $22 |

The OE7 is really hard to find here in Oklahoma. Everyone loves it here. I bought mine in Kentucky and paid way to much but wanted to see what the hype is about. I know why everyone likes it. ER for $22. That’s a steal! |

I agree with C920, its my backup bottle now. The one I am most happy with is the High West double rye store pick, finished in some weird wine cask. Its amazing.

If one more of you shows up with Alberta Premium Rye I’m gonna .....be jealous....er
Here’s my liquor cabinet of stuff Ive acquired since getting to Japan mid January. Hopefully my collection from home arrives soon so I can have my favorites. Attached File EDIT: this was a temporary pic until my refrigerator arrived, the open vermouth is now safely back where it should be and I bought a bottle of Nikka from the barrel last night. It never ends. Tried to convince my wife to bring me a couple things from the states later this month but her bags are already maxed out. |
