I have a Gillette fat boy from the 50's. It has seen better days. I'd like to have it rehabbed to restore it to its former glory.

Anyone know of any places that do such a thing and generally what it runs?

Here is a good article how to restore vintage razors.
Guy must be a reloader as you can see the last step he tumbles the razor in his tumbler :)

Well I'm a reloader as well but some of the chrome is just plane gone to the point of having verdigris showing.

Badger and Blade has a section on it seems to list 3 company's that offer replating, and a quick
Bing search found several companies that replate/refinish/ restore vintage razors,
seems prices range from $30 to $60 though I've read that it can go higher.
I believe rhodium is the most common replating as well as hard chrome, Gold and silver what can be plated seems to be what the base metal of the razor is.
I think there is another site that offers a Gun-Kote type finish, Found it:

I had never heard of Delta Echo before so I checked out the website.  Absolutely gorgeous works of art!
