I found several of these razors in great shape and all functions working for 10 bucks each at a local antique store. I bought 2 for personal use and was wondering if I should go back and buy the rest. Mine is just like the one in the link but I dated it at 1963 . Thanks for the help guys.

Why is this even a question?  You buy them all, and either start a collection, or flip them.  $10 bucks for any of the vintage Gillette's is a good deal, especially if they are in great shape.

This !!! There are collectors out there and companies that refinish these vintage razors. One company that is doing some great work refinishing in almost any color you can imagine is Delta Echo Razors !! They turn old beat up razors into works of art !! www.deltaechorazors.bigcartel.com

I bought the last one because a collector had bought some before I got back . I just washed them and they are mint. They look like they were just pulled from the box

You did good buying multiples. Prices seem to fluctuate on eBay. They can go anywhere from ~$20 on up to $60 or so. Maybe more depending on condition and code/year.

Thats a good deal. You should buy em up and sell for 30 bucks on EBAY. I won't buy a vintage razor unless it comes with the case.

Clean that baby up with Kaboom bath cleaner and a soft toothbrush. it is bleach free and will not harm the nickle finish. I then sanitize in Barbicide and lube the mechanism with mineral oil.

I picked up one just like that for $1 at an estate sale.
Estate and garage sales are wonderful places to pick up old shaving gear if you know what you are looking for.

$10 for a Skim Adjustable is a great deal.

Agree to check estate sales. I've also had great luck in junk stores and antique stores as well.

This particular antique store had all kinds of vintage Gillette razors and I cleaned them out Still shaving with my 1940's New Open comb. It's my favorite go to razor. I prefer the 3 piece razors over the TTO razors. I bought 3 Fatboy razors in excellent shape for 10 bucks a razor. Yes I bought all they had. These same razors are selling for 50-100 bucks per razor on forums and Ebay.

I've used mine since OP got one for me I don't remember how long ago...

I keep my old razor in my dopp bag and when I travel it's like I have to learn how to shave again and don't feel
as clean shaven as with the one in this thread
