Looks like Casio has released the MDV-106 Duro in a blue dial/bezel and in a gold gilt version. Anyone have a source for these around the $42 mark of the black version? Most places are over $60.

I really want a 45.5mm Planet Ocean and a 44mm Speedmaster.
I think I could own those two watches plus my Ball and be perfectly happy with those three and nothing else... although I do lust after a Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller, alas a pipe dream. |

A Scurfa D1 of some sort if they ever get bracelets back in stock and some more colors.

I think if I buy these two I could legit avoid temptations to buy any new watches for a few years.

Just ordered a Longines Conquest VHP Chrono with carbon fiber dial today. Should be here Friday. Great looking watch and supposed to be very, very accurate. Like +/- 5 seconds a year accurate.

It was the 5000T PVD - instead, but the coating was holding up well. That’s a better watch objectively, but I am still going to hunt down a 750 like this. I wish the Lume filled the entire indices, and that the hour hand was a little larger, Buts it’s just a touch more classic looking than the 5000 with the dial layout. The one that looks like this https://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu220/ramairfour/8DF6D4D5-CF85-4DC1-9C47-4B72269C9B90_zpstbmykimd.jpeg View Quote I like it. Retro release cushion cases for the win, Ok, retro releases kick ass in general, even if not cushion cased. |

For a watch that has not been made in over 30 years, that looks great. A 6309 automatic mainplate quartz powered movement is shamefully high quality quartz compared to Swiss. |

View Quote The 7C46 is a great movement that powered the SBBN007 300m tuna and 1000m tunas for about 25 years. Even ten years ago, the 300m was a fantastic buy for 400$. Then they made it a $1000 watch and the movement is still powering their professional quartz divers. They have essentially doubled the prices of several diver lines since. Maybe in an SKX or SRP turtle case it would be pretty cool. |

Ordered the parts yesterday to assemble my own custom SKX007-clone with black Marine Master hands, orange dial and chapter ring, black glass Submariner bezel insert, coin-edge bezel, single-dome crystal, and rubber strap.

I am looking for the right Wittnauer All-Proof. Same watch as Jimmie Mattern wore on his attempts to circumnavigate the world, Byrd wore on his Antarctic mission, and Armstrong wore on Gemini 8. It's small by current styles, but the history has me hooked.
