Looking at a used worn 3 times as new with box and all goodies black face submariner. Trying to get an idea what it's worth. This is a men's watch.

$87

Check out these links

bobswatches

capetown diamond

Both have used Rolexes at a "good" price (Bobs has a "buy" and sell price...   private party is between those numbers)   remember though, like guns, the only way you get money back out of them is to buy cheap and find someone with the itch for the one you have for sale......

Good luck!

Thanks for the information. I'm meeting him at a jewelers to make sure it's legit. I think its a steal at 2250.00 he needs cash so I think I can't get hurt if I buy it

Eta: this is the newer non date ceramic bezel model

Sounds low.  Be very careful.  Make sure the jeweler knows what to look for.

Edit:  he should be able to provide a receipt from an authorized Rolex dealer with the serial number and price paid on it.

If not, run away.

Sounds to good to be true at that price. He could easily get $5k if its legit.

I'd be very cautious at that price.

A rolex dealer will be looking at it. If there is no provenance I'll probably bail.

That is Reference # 114060, Retail is 7500.00 from an AD. $2250.00 is a ridiculous price, if it's legit, you scored BIG TIME!

Already been said (multiple times ), but that is probably too good to be true.

Even a desperate seller could easily get twice that amount with no effort.

ETA:
Could also be a setup for a robbery, knowing the victim would be carrying at least $2k in cash.

I'd be VERY cautious with that watch being offered at that price. There are some VERY good fakes out there these days, even to the point of genuine movements being used in fake cases, some of which are very convincing. There's also the possibility that you could be looking at a stolen watch but Rolex publishes a list of the serial numbers of known stolen watches that their authorized dealers have access to. If it's legit and you can buy it at that price it truly is the deal of the decade.

If you don't want it, I'll buy it right this second

OP how about an update?

My Spidey senses would be tingling. Use extreme caution. Any Rolex dealer would offer him way more than that on the spot.

Hell of a score if real. You could flip it for 4K of profit in no time

Make sure the dealer opens the case. also remove the band, there should be the model number stamped between the band "tines" one one side and the serial number on the other.

Did OP get robbed and killed?

Or did the police lock him up for possession of stolen goods after he bought the hot watch?
