( first edition of ref. 6538 with an explorer dial) It had a cheap expanding band on it when he gave it to me for my 16th birthday. This was my first real watch. It still keeps good time. It was last serviced by Rolex in 1996.

Just seems like a great value compared to many other offerings out there. Face and bezel are a nice brilliant blue but the bezel sort of goes black depending on lighting.

I like my Glycine, but this is leaps and bounds beyond it as far as fit and finish goes. I think it will look a little better with the black leather strap I ordered, but the included brown leather strap is extremely nice.
