Well, since we all know that watches and shaving were the primary impetus behind this, I'll start things on the watch end.  Post 'em up!

This fellow arrived today.  Steinhart Marine Officer Bronze Chronograph.  Picked it up as a memorial to my grandmother, who passed away last week, and appreciated such things.

Classic

I go back and forth on whether or not I want a Rolex Sub.  On the one hand, Rolex has become the "generic" higher-end watch, but on the other hand, they're timeless.  At any rate, very nice

This Elgin was my Grandfathers and it was given to me after he passed.
The dial is a little rough but it still runs. I need to get a chain for it yet

I Have another as well that My Great Grandfather brought with him from Germany when they came over.
Its also a Elgin but in a lot better shape and gold.

I'm rough on watches

My main problem is I like them on a loose band, so I am constantly banging them up.

All good though.  I don't get them to sit in a drawer.

I love the chronometers.  Breitling makes an awesome product across the board.

Maratac Mid Pilots Watch, with Maratac Silicone band. Glows bright, easy to read clean face. Bezel and case have scratched but not the sapphire crystal. Wear it 24/7, in the shower, swimming, etc. Just check and make sure the crown is screwed down every once in a while.

This was my last watch, a Casio G shock. I liked it but I didn't, I felt the face had way too much going on, and I didn't like the the way the backlight lit up the face. It wasn't easy to read at night without my glasses on.

Orient makes a heck of a watch. My only knock on them is their movements (at least some, not sure if all, are NOT hand winding. I like my autos to have that feature. Right now I have my Mako XL on my left wrist, and my Stingray on my right, giving them their wind. I need to invest in another watch winder.

Oh, I like that one and have been looking for an inexpensive but decent watch for a beater. Do you happen to know the model # for that one or the best place to find one?

Thanks

Never mind. Found it but apparently its a discontinued model
