Grabbed one of their compasses and it’s really nice. My 7 year old stole it but at least I’ll still have it nearby on hikes |

Grabbed one of their compasses and it’s really nice. My 7 year old stole it but at least I’ll still have it nearby on hikes I’ll admit I got sucked into the Sangin drop hype back at new years. I got a K2 pilot and wound up not liking it. I traded for the Orangesicle shown. I think there are 3 main markets. People who were in Sangin and have a connection, a small group of people who are like “coOl oPerATors wEAr TheSE”, and people like me who want a decent use watch that has a decent pedigree. The owner has a good operational background, models have been field tested by real users, and the customer service seems to be top notch. Components are decent and time tested. Is it a 600 dollar watch, component wise Probabaly not, but put together well as a microbrand it’s well up there and worth the scratch. I bought it for use on the ambulance as a watch I could beat and not worry about and get fixed easy. Yeah a 13 dollar F-91 does the same thing (and I have one) but watches are one of my things. That said the people who resell TADs and gypsies for 2x and 3x purchase are jerks. Lost of words to say I think they are worth the price but a Hamilton Mechanical are a solid choice too. |

Technically, my second of today. It just arrived. I’m wearing tomorrow as well, so I won’t post tomorrow. |

Been wearing one regularly since last September- very solid pick so far , and I was about to say despite the price, but I will correct that to say Regardless of the price (up to a point) . Quality of mine compares very well to my recent pickup of a Glycine Combat and rivals my Seiko’s. Perhaps a little proletariat compared to a lot of the fine timepieces you sport, but heck, you always have to have something to mow the lawn in |
