Thank you for my service. Where is my cake?
Thou may ingest a satchel of Richards. |
I don't have much of a frame of reference, but it seems to be a good watch (especially considering the price.) The case seems pretty thin for an automatic movement, and its lugs curve downward so it wears nicely on my 7-3/4" wrist. The watch isn't absurdly heavy - I just recently started wearing a watch, and I find it comfortable. Nice screw-down crown. Whole thing feels well made.
Due to the direct sunlight and compression of the photo above, the dial appears to be charcoal colored. It's darker black when viewed in person. I replaced the original black leather strap with a medium-length horween leather rallye strap sold by 'B&R Bands' on Amazon. The lug width is 22mm. |

Love that color scheme - the Gulf livery can do no wrong.

It's really fun to see watches 'in the wild'. It looks beautiful there. I've only spent a little time in Japan and Taiwan, but it was all business. Would love to travel there for fun. |

One of my old favorites. It’s on its third crystal and this one leaks. I whacked the side of the face with a socket wrench one day and it bent. From 9-12 o'clock you can see water ingress points. Oh well. I usually just wear it to church anymore. It's been amazingly reliable and accurate for a $100 watch that's 15 years old. It came by its wear honest.
ETA you can see one of two little slivers/chunks of glass inside the watch right above 12 o'clock. Attached File |
