I have shipped homebrew twice. One time I know it got there the other time I am not sure. It was in plastic bottles and the box was taped before I got to the shipping store. They asked me if there was alcohol in the box but I misunderstood and said no.

I've shipped beer many times.
Use FedEx, wrap each bottle in bubble wrap, and use foam peanuts. Line the box with a garbage bag to seal it all up if anything breaks and you should be good to go. If they ask, tell them you are sending a yeast sample. |

I would also add, make sure you use a very sturdy box (double walled is even better) that is a bit bigger than it needs to be. If you are sending a lot of beer, or very expensive beer, I recommend double-boxing. |
