You would be better off melting it into little slugs and trading for ammo or lead. I think with all the gun ranges around here I would be mining them if SHTF after I have gone through all the ammo,bullets and lead I have in stock. If the ghetto finds out your shooting gold bullets they will be lining up to have you shoot them. |

If I remember correctly Silver is too soft to engage the rifling, therefore is a sorry inaccurate substitute for lead.
Gold is closer to lead, maybe Bismuth. If you are down to melting and shooting Gold, you have planned very poorly. Therefore I pity your family in case of SHTF scenario, Linotype and lead are a lot cheaper than Gold, or Silver. |
