I agree, the actions taken by NRA leadership within the last 24 hours are shameful, and should be
declared as such if we are to defend our god given rights. |

I know it’s in vogue for private enterprises to take a stand on every public issue under the sun, but I’m not gonna fault any of them for lack of comment.
I don’t expect the company I buy my bore brushes from to have my back. All I want from them is to keep bore brushes in stock. Now if their business is 2A activism, and I fucking pay them money; yeah, I wanna know their stance. And fucks be upon them if they get it wrong. |

The NRA is in the fight! Yes! The NRA does listen. I know some of you were angry with my suspension of support for the NRA after they released a statement saying, "The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations." I had to do something because I couldn't let them take this tact, so I suspended my support quite publicly. Believe me, they felt that. My suspension of support, along with others, sent ripples through the organization. However, I continued to work with them because I knew they wanted to fight. They made a mistake in their initial statement, but we brought that mistake to their attention. They've learned a lesson and because of us (me, you and others in social media) they're committed to the fight now. Make no mistake, we need the NRA in the fight. This is why its important to not just be a NRA member, but to be a VOCAL member. When they make a mistake, and we all make them from time to time, we must call them on it and get them to change course. And we did. While they may not hear the voice of a single NRA member, they hear our collective voices when we speak up in social media. Thank you to all who helped us get them moving in the right direction. We will prevail in this fight for our rights but you must stay active. Keep calling your representatives. Keep emailing them.
